This I-Sites Multi-platform Mobile Application was produced under the terms of a Memorandum of Agreement, pursuant to the Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, among the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), State Historical Society of Iowa, Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, Office of the State Archaeologist, Harrison Country Rural Electrical Cooperative, Harrison County Historic Perseveration Commission, and Preservation Iowa, as a result of a post-review discovery regarding potential effects to an archaeological site. FEMA administered Federal disaster assistance through FEMA’s Public Assistance Program pursuant to the Robert T. Stafford Relief and Emergency Assistance Act for the reconductoring and upgrading of overhead power lines in Harrison County that were substantially damaged by ice accumulation on the lines and structures as a result of the winter storms in January of 2010, that resulted in declared disaster FEMA-1880-DR-IA.
